Farkas Gábor Kiss

Farkas Gábor Kiss has studied Classics and Hungarian Literature at the University of Budapest (ELTE) and Medieval Studies at the Central European University (MA, MPhil). He has received his PhD with a dissertation on the strategies of imitation in the Obsidio Szigethiana, an epic poem of the Hungarian Baroque poet, Nicholas Zrínyi. Since then his interest shifted to the history of Latin literature in East Central Europe in the 15th and 16th century, and his current research focuses on the history of rhetoric, literary theory, and the art of memory in this period. In the Politics research line Farkas was investigating the evolution of the political rhetoric in 16th century Central Europe.
