Ruth Miguel Franco graduated in Classics and Romance Philology a the Universidad de Salamanca (Spain), where she also obtained her PhD with a thesis on Braulio of Saragosse's epistles. She has held research and teaching possitions at the Universidad de Alcalá (Spain) and the Università degli Studi di Padova (Italy). Currently she is a lecturer at the Universitat de les Illes Balears (Spain). She has worked on different fields, such as Visigothic Latin, cartularies from Tolede, sapiential texts or Spanish 17th - 19th C. documents, dealing mainly with editorial and linguistical issues. In the field of Neo Latin studies, she has focused on Humanistic grammar, specially Lorenzo Valla. She is editing the first book of Valla's Elegantie Lingue Latine, as well as studying some of the grammatical questions that the author discusses.
