The third international “Montafoner Gipfeltreffen”, coorganized and sponsored by the LBI for Neolatin Studies, took place in Schruns from 18th to 22nd October 2016. The conference dealt with different aspects and cases of dying in the Mountains under various (historical, mentality related, literary) perspectives.

The LBI was once more represented by O.Univ.-Prof. Mag. Dr. Martin Korenjak, who gave a talk on the attitude towards avalances from Antiquity to the Early Modern Period and was interview by the ORF on the conference topic in general.
