2016 meeting of the RSA in Boston

This year, the annual meeting of the Renaissance Society of America (RSA) took place in the beautiful city of Boston. A couple of LBI members travelled to Massachusetts, organized panels and delivered papers: Together with Sarah Olivia Miglietti (Johns Hopkins University) William Barton organized the panel ‚Authorial Translation in Renaissance Europe‘ and spoke himself about ‚Latin and Vernacular Translation in Early Modern Verona: Two Visits to Monte Baldo‘. Johanna Luggin gave a paper on ‚Horatian Journeys through Early Modern England‘, and our current fellow, Francesco Lucioli together with Paola Ugolini (University at Buffalo) organized a panel on ‚The Spin-Offs of the Orlando furioso‘, where he spoke about ‚An Unknown “Spin-Off” of the Furioso: The Agolante affatato by Pier Matteo Antonelli‘. As always, the RSA was a nice occasion for meeting with colleagues, publishers, former fellows, incoming guests etc.
