LBI at the RSA conference in New York

Several members of the LBI for Neo-Latin Studies presented papers at the 60th Annual Meeting of the RSA (27–29 March 2014 in New York City):

Gabor Almási (Anonymous Machiavellians: Secret Knowledge Displayed and Sold in 1620), Oren Margolis (An Unknown Poem on Charlemagne by Antonio Cornazzano, and the 1461–62 Embassy to Louis XI of France), Valerio Sanzotta (The Tragedies of Giuseppe Enrico Carpani, SJ, between Literary Academies and Diplomatic Patronage), Isabella Walser (Anton Wilhelm Ertl’s Austriana Meets with Austrian Historiography), and Florian Schaffenrath (Morisot’s Neo-Latin Novel Peruviana (1645) and Its Allegorical Technique). Apart from the over 2000 (!) papers and official events, also the town itself gave a lot of pleasure to the participants.
