Martius Pueritiae Oenipontanae Animus
On April 4th 2014, the LBI contributed to the “Lange Nacht der Forschung” with the performance of a Jesuit comedy.
Directed by Simon Wirthensohn, three members and one friend of the LBI – actores excellentissimi – reenacted the Martius Pueritiae Oenipontanae Animus (“The Belligerent Spirit of Innsbruck’s Youth”) in its original language. The play was a condensed adaptation of Anton Claus’ Martius pueritiae Dilinganae animus, published in 1755. There were sword fights, folk songs, and a scary skeleton. It was a great success.
