Chiara Senatore obtained her master’s degree in Classical Philology from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in September 2020. Her master’s thesis, entitled “La fortuna della Batrachomyomachia: da testo scolastico a modello del genere zooepico”, has been recommended in the International Mario Luzi Prize XV edition (2019/2020) for the section “Magna cum laude”.

In November 2020, a contribution focusing on Carlo Marsuppini’s Latin translation of the Batrachomyomachia has been accepted for a conference to be held in Florence on the 8–9 June 2020. This conference will be organized by NUME (Gruppo di Ricerca sul Medioevo latino). Chiara’s contribution will be published in the proceedings of the conference.

From February 2021 she is visiting fellow at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institut für Neulateinische Studien, Innsbruck

Chiara’s scientific interests lie in the field of Neo-Latin literature of Humanism and Renaissance, especially as far as zooepic poems of Italian authors are concerned.
