Katie Mennis is interested in the relationship between neo-Latinity and English literary culture, especially through translation. She studied Classics & English (BA) at Magdalen College, Oxford and Renaissance Literature (MPhil) at Christ’s College, Cambridge. She has recently completed her DPhil in English at the University of Oxford on English literature in Latin translation, 1580-1750. At the LBI, she will be working primarily on a Latin translation of James I/VI’s poem Lepanto.
