Kathrin Wankmiller
Kathrin Wankmiller is a classical philologist and historian who studied in Innsbruck, Freiburg im Breisgau and Barcelona. Her key areas of research include the origins, transmission and reception of Latin texts. Her doctoral thesis focuses on the poetic oeuvre of the medieval author Baudri of Bourgueil (1046–1130). In her academic work at the LBI, she is investigating the significance of medieval Latin poetry as a bridge between the classics of antiquity and Neo-Latin literature.
