Martin Korenjak is a classicist by training. His original research interests included Latin and Greek poetry and poetics, the rhetoric and eloquence of the Imperial period and the reception of classical antiquity. Over the last two decades, he has become interested in Neolatin studies. Within this large area, he focuses on the history of Neolatin literature, on its contribution to the emergence of modern Europe, and on Neolatin as the main language of early modern science.
