Dinah Wouters

Dinah Wouters currently works as a lecturer in religious studies at Utrecht University and as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Groningen and the Royal Dutch Institute in Rome. She holds a PhD in medieval Latin literature from Ghent University, and previously did a postdoc project on early modern biblical drama. Her current project studies colonial paradigms and practices of the seventeenth-century Dutch Republic. How did intellectuals, pedagogues, policymakers and pamphlet-writers engage with biblical and classical knowledge in developing and debating their own ideas on trade, colonialism, slavery, and empire?
