Eva Sahr

Eva Sahr studied Latin philology (BA) and philosophy (MA) at the university of Würzburg. She works as a researcher in the DFG project Arabic-Latin-Glossary at the university of Würzburg. Her research interests are epistemology and the history and philosophy of science, especially Aristotle’s Posterior Analytics and its reception in the Arabic and Latin commentary tradition.

While at the LBI, Eva will be working on her PhD thesis, in which she will analyse the influence of Averroes‘ (Ibn Rušd, d. 1198) commentaries on the Posterior Analytics on the debate about the standards of scientific method in sixteenth-century Italy.
