Simona Figurelli earned her Master degree in Ancient literatures, philologies and histories discussing a thesis on the so-called Gellio Gallarati Scotti, a XVth century manuscript conserved in the Biblioteca Ambrosiana, written by the Bolognese humanist Niccolò Volpe. Her PhD research consists of commenting Valla’s Elegantie: her work is especially focused on the identification and analysis of Late-ancient and Medieval grammatical sources considered by the Humanist during the composition of his masterpiece. Her interests also include Paleography, Diplomatics and Archives.
